Itinerary
Sample plan — exact days flex with weather, snow line and group pace.
- Day 1
Arrive Leh
A full rest day at altitude before any trekking begins — non-negotiable at 3,500m.
- Day 2
Leh → Chilling → Shingra Koma
Drive to the Zanskar confluence, then the first steps onto the Chadar itself.
- Day 3
Shingra Koma → Tibb Cave
A full ~10 km day on the ice, camping in a natural cave used by trekkers for decades.
- Day 4
Tibb Cave → Naerak
Deeper into the gorge, roughly 10–12 km, past the frozen Naerak waterfall.
- Day 5
Naerak — turnaround point
Rest and acclimatize; this is as far as our standard batch goes before starting back.
- Day 6
Naerak → Tibb Cave
Retrace the route back down the frozen river.
- Day 7
Tibb Cave → Shingra Koma / Chilling
Back off the ice and to the roadhead.
- Day 8
Drive to Leh, departure
Buffer built in for ice conditions; used as a rest day if the trek ran to schedule.
